On the afternoon of October 28th, the "2025 Global Electronic Paper Technology and Application Summit Forum" came to a successful conclusion at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Liu Senhua, the executive president of the relevant association and the general manager of E Ink China. Furthermore, President Liu Senhua was also invited to attend the opening ceremony of the concurrent exhibition and participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The forum officially kicked off with a speech delivered by Mr. Zhou Aijun, the president of the relevant association and chairman of DKE Oriental Techno-Medicine. During the speech, President Zhou shared his practical experience in the internationalization layout and capitalization development path of DKE Oriental Techno-Medicine, specifically covering the implementation path of the enterprise's overseas strategy, practical insights gained during the process of overseas market expansion, as well as key considerations in the preparation and promotion stages of enterprise listing. Firstly, Ms. Wang Yuhong, Chief Operating Officer of LuoTu Technology, delivered a keynote speech titled "The ePaper IoT Era Arrives as Promised: Building a Balance between 'Stability' and 'Interactivity' through Diversified Applications". In her speech, she pointed out that the global consumer electronics market is expected to achieve steady growth in 2025, with a year-on-year increase of 7%. Currently, upstream display technology is showing a diversified development trend, and the midstream and downstream supply capacities are abundant. Continuous technological innovation has become the core driving force behind market growth. Against this industry backdrop, electronic paper technology is ushering in a new growth space, leveraging the explosive development of the Internet of Things (IoT) industry. According to her prediction, the global output value of electronic paper displays will reach $15.36 billion in 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 31%, and is expected to become the fastest-growing segment in the display technology field. From the perspective of the industrial ecosystem, the electronic paper industry has effectively activated collaborative development in multiple fields such as materials, manufacturing, equipment, employment, and finance, with the combined output value of related fields exceeding $42 billion. Meanwhile, China occupies a core position in the field of electronic paper module manufacturing, with a manufacturing share as high as 96%. The cumulative shipment volume of electronic paper modules in the past three years has exceeded 1.14 billion pieces. Furthermore, in the traditional smart retail sector, electronic paper applications continue to perform impressively. Among them, the shipment volume of electronic paper price tags is expected to reach 480 million pieces in 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 53.7%, and the corresponding terminal market value will exceed $6 billion.
Next, Ms. Sun Hailing, an associate researcher at South China Normal University and deputy director of the panel R&D department at Guangxian Technology, introduced the topic of "Industrialization Progress and Application Sharing of Electrowetting Technology". She clearly pointed out that electrowetting technology has significant advantages in terms of video playback fluency and color presentation effect. This technical characteristic has opened up a more feasible new path for the application of electronic paper in innovative scenarios such as dynamic curtain walls and color dynamic digital information boards.
Dr. Yu Yunhai, a senior researcher at DKE (Dongfang Kema), delivered a keynote speech titled "Flexible E-paper Technology Based on OTFT and Its Industrial Outlook". Dr. Yu Yunhai provided an in-depth analysis of the integration advantages of OTFT (Organic Thin Film Transistor) backplane technology and e-paper. He emphasized that OTFT technology, with its inherent flexibility, low-temperature preparation process, and excellent impact resistance, will provide crucial support for the expansion of e-paper technology scenarios. This will effectively promote the commercialization of e-paper in cutting-edge fields such as foldable educational books, rollable blackboards, 3D curved helmets, smart clothing, and even robotic skin, opening up broader development space for the e-paper industry

During the sharing, President Liu systematically introduced the practical applications of electronic paper technology in shelf labels, electronic readers, smart office notebooks, and the smart education market. He also focused on a new application area - commercial display applications (referred to as "commercial display applications"), providing an in-depth analysis of the market prospects and application value of this field. In the technical characteristics and application practice demonstration segment, President Liu highlighted the core technical parameters and practical application cases of Kaleido 3, Spectra 6, Marquee, and other series of color electronic paper products. Among them, the Marquee series of products, with its significant advantages of gentle and natural color presentation and stable operation across a wide temperature range, became the core technical solution that attracted the most attention at the event. When discussing the development direction of the electronic paper industry, President Liu stated, "With the continuous breakthroughs in electronic paper technology and the continuous enrichment of product systems, coupled with the gradual increase in demand for large-size products in the commercial display field, the application boundaries of electronic paper are constantly expanding, and it has gradually integrated deeply into daily life scenarios and the digital development process of various industries." Li Quan, the Deputy General Manager of Yisheng Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech titled "Innovative Exploration of E Ink Display Solutions in Electronic Paper Applications". From the perspective of solutions, he shared the integration of hardware and software systems in E Ink displays for smart retail, smart education, commercial displays, and other fields.
